Our Mission
To
play a central role in providing effective and innovative access to information
resources to a wide range of users within and outside the Justice system in
Nunavut.
The
Nunavut Court of Justice Law Library's services and collections anticipate and respond to the reference and
research needs of the Judiciary, Justice Department staff, the local and
national legal community and the general public.
The
Nunavut Court of Justice Law Library is committed to providing flexible, effective access,
creating cooperative relationships with users, furthering staff expertise and
managing resources responsibly.
NOTE: The Nunavut Court of Justice Law Library subscribes to the principles of Fair Copy under the Copyright Act. That is no more than 10% of a book/serial/library resource may be photocopied and must be copied for personal use only (i.e., not for sale). Library Policies
The Nunavut Court of Justice
Law Library and its resources are available to all current members of the Law Society of Nunavut
and the members of the Government of Nunavut (GN) Department of Justice. Members of the Public and non-Department of Justice,
GN Staff are welcome and may use the library resources on-site, however, without borrowing privileges.
Please note that all Law Clerks and Law Students must have a completed Borrower Form (available below) on file with the
Court Librarian before being able to borrow material from the Law Library.
